Axiom, a global leader in alternative legal services, is working with a globally recognized technology company seeking an Employment Associate to join their team on an interim-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to explore working with a leader in the technology space and establish a successful career as an in-house employment lawyer.

Responsibilities
:

  • Provide strategic and pragmatic legal advice in all areas of employment law, including employment agreements and structures, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution and mitigation, policy and procedures, and labor/union negotiations.
  • Review, draft, and update policies, procedures, and playbooks, and guide internal people managers and HR on matters impacting wage and hour and gig economy workers.
  • Manage employment-related disputes and mitigate risk and potential litigation.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience focusing on labour and employment law in Australia.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act.
  • Experience working within a large in-house legal department or with a sophisticated law firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
