Berry Street's Take Two program is seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader and Psychology Discipline Lead to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to lead clinical practice across both the broader Take Two program and the Berry Street School's ACCESS team, supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect and adversity.

  • Base location is flexible, work from one of the Berry Street offices (statewide)
  • Part time (0.8FTE), Permanent role
  • $124K + super and salary packaging (pro rata)
  • Travel required

About the role:

This role is imperative to ensuring therapeutic interventions are neurodevelopmentally informed and aligned with Take Two's evidence-based model of care.

The Clinical Team Leader / Psychology Discipline Lead is responsible for operational oversight, clinical supervision, and reflective practice of a multidisciplinary clinical team that delivers services across two areas:

  • The broader Take Two program

Provide expert guidance on psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention, and supports the professional development of psychologists within the program. The position also contributes to service innovation, research, and sector capacity-building through training and consultation.

The role supports allied health clinicians (speech pathologists and occupational therapists) who assessment and consultation across the Take Two program.

  • The School Program (ACCESS team), which provides targeted clinical support to the four campuses of Berry Street School (Ballarat, Morwell, Noble Park, and Shepparton).

The Berry Street school is a specialist independent school for students who have disengaged from mainstream education due to trauma and adversity.

You will be focused on psychological, occupational, and communication assessments, as well as driving capacity-building in the wider team to enhance understanding of the impact of developmental trauma on learning and behaviour.

This position is central to ensuring that vulnerable children and young people receive the individualised, trauma-informed support they need to heal, engage in education, and thrive.
About You

You are a registered psychologist with AHPRA and eligible to be a Psychology Board-approved supervisor. You bring:

  • Solution focused approach to the challenges of the new programs with curiosity and vision for the development of longer-term success.
  • Extensive experience in trauma-informed clinical assessment and intervention.
  • Strong leadership and supervision skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Experience in educational settings are highly desirable.
