STRATO Melbourne is one of the city's most exciting premium dining and event destinations, offering spectacular views, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere. We are now seeking a passionate and motivated Food & Beverage Shift Leader to join our team.

In this role, you will guide the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. You'll act as the key contact during shifts, ensure smooth communication between front and back of house, resolve guest concerns with professionalism, and lead by example on the floor. This is a hands-on role where your organisational skills, attention to detail, and guest service experiences will set the tone for the guest and team experience alike.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead food and beverage service shifts, ensuring smooth shift operations.

· Guide and support the FOH team to deliver consistently high standards of service.

· Handle guest concerns promptly and effectively, using service recovery techniques to turn challenges into positive outcomes.

· Maintain clear and effective communication between FOH and BOH during and between shifts.

· Provide hands-on food and beverage service when required.

· Ensure compliance with RSA, health & safety, and workplace requirements.

· Assist with private functions and events as required.

· Foster a positive, professional, and supportive team culture.

About You

· Minimum two years' experience in a shift leader or senior waiter role within a premium hospitality venue.

· Strong knowledge and passion for food and beverage service.

· Excellent customer service, leadership, and communication skills.

· Confident in POS systems and cash handling.

· Skilled in guest service recovery with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

· RSA certification required; hospitality qualifications are highly regarded.

· Availability to work evenings and weekends as part of a rotating roster.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $34.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 38 per week
