An opportunity has arisen for a Personal Care Attendant, to join our Chemotherapy Suite (SACS) team.

Centrally located in the Adelaide CBD, our team works in modern, purpose-built facilities and leads the way in specialties such as cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, and robotic-assisted surgery.

About the role:

In this role, you'll contribute to delivering world-class cancer care in a welcoming and professional setting, supported by onsite pharmacy and pathology services. You'll be working closely with patients and their families throughout their treatment journey, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provides an effective support service to patient areas of St Andrew's Hospital in order to facilitate the achievement of the highest possible standards of patient care, and teamwork
  • Assists the nursing staff with their duties which involves manual handling of patients and attending to the patient's activities of daily living

About You

As a Personal Care Attendant in our Chemotherapy Suite, you'll be part of a highly skilled and compassionate multidisciplinary oncology team, working alongside nursing staff and support staff. You will have the following:

  • A commitment to deliver consistent levels of high-quality patient care;
  • Enthusiasm to develop your clinical skills and knowledge;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

Hours

This is a casual role with shift lengths are in line with our EA. The chemotherapy suite currently operates from Monday to Friday – hours between 7.00am to 7.00pm.
