Vet Nurse and Receptionist

A bit about us
We are of the belief that "routine medicine" has become a little excessive in recent times and are dedicated to educating our clients that there is a better way. Our area of emphasis is in reducing the number of vaccinations and preventative medicines our pets receive; and to encourage pet owners to use more home cooking and less commercial foods.Our clinic's policy is to explain to our clients the pros and cons of all aspects of pet health so that our clients can make their own informed decision/s on what level of care you want their pets to receive. We employ a low drug philosophy, and we don't believe that more drugs mean greater health.
What it will be like for you
This is a varied role, and one that will see you interacting with patients and their paw-rents in reception, as well as general nursing duties (taking bloods, placing IVs, monitoring patients, maintaining cleanliness of the practice etc)We believe that everyone's voice should be heard, and everyone can help improve the service we deliver. When time allows, we love to catch up and chat about how we can improve things.There is plenty on offer for the right person, from learning new skills, improving existing ones and advancing your career. Just because its work, doesn't mean it can't be fun, rewarding for your career, and importantly the outcomes you help our patients achieve.We do have some requirements for the role though;
- We need someone 3 days and approx. 30 hours a week (including 1:3 Saturdays)
- A genuine eagerness to learn and improve
- Confidently keep things on track and running smooth back house
- Be social media savvy, and be able and willing to help out
How you can get in touch
If this sounds like a place you could see yourself working, or want a bit more information before you can make that decision, reach out to me on – if you have already made your mind up though, apply or send me an email and we can take it from there.
