**Veterinary Receptionist Position**:
Southern Animal Health (SAH) has an exciting new position open for a Veterinary Receptionist. A minimum of one years’ experience in a reception role is mandatory (it does not have to have been within the Veterinary industry).

This position offers 4 or 5 days per week a depending on your preference, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. There is opportunity to perform extra hours if desired. The position requires confidence, initiative and you will eventually need to be adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment. We would love you to be able to multi-task, have fun and most of all, love to learn

Southern Animal Health (encompassing Melbourne Bulldog Clinic) is a state of the art, purpose-built hospital located in the heart of Bayside. Since 2009, Dr Marcus Hayes has offered SAH’s less retail oriented, high level medical and surgical services. The practice has since attracted the highest quality vets and nurses who enjoy working this way.

We offer a low marketing philosophy concentrating on pet health rather than product sales. Our clinic has separate feline and canine waiting and consulting rooms, and provide advanced medical and surgical procedures, pet transport and extended hours seven days a week to keep our clients away from emergency centres.

**Some of your responsibilities will include**:

- General administration duties
- Being the first point of contact for our clinic. You will provide an exemplary experience
- Manage incoming calls and face-to-face enquiries
- Enter new clients and patients into the clinic’s CRM
- Scheduling of appointments and procedures & management of the daily schedule
- Invoicing and receipting of patient accounts
- Maintaining the reception space and re-stock supplies
- Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Arrange meetings and take minutes or notes
- Inform other members of staff about visitors or cancellations
- Identify opportunities to grow the clinic

**If you**:

- Have proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Can work 4 weekdays and every third weekend and also be available for public holidays on rotation
- Are punctual
- Possess a professional attitude and appearance
- Are flexible, friendly, dynamic and positive
- Have solid written and verbal communication skills
- Have the ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Can multitask and possess time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Have a current driver’s license and vehicle
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Live locally
- Have the ability to work collaboratively and fast paced with fellow team members and build rapport with clients
- Have strong communication skills and exceptional customers service
