Friable Asbestos Removal Supervisor

Family Run Asbestos Removal and Demolition company based in Smithfield NSW. Seeking a full-time qualified friable asbestos removal supervisor who is positive, enthusiastic and motivated to join the team. Opportunity of growing within the company for work all over New South Wales. Plenty of over time and Saturday work. Company vehicle will be provided.

Duties include:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in removing asbestos
  • Assist workers in removal activities
  • Manage, organise and maintain tools
  • Complete and maintain project records including but not limited to Toolbox Talk, SWMS, ARCP and Site Dockets
  • Monitor and inspect quality of work during projects
  • Carry out reviews of job specification
  • Carry out observational audits and staff appraisals
  • Ensure that legislative requirements are always undertaken maintained
  • Share knowledge and best practice techniques with members of the working team
  • Be part of working team, be able to work under supervision, be a team player

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Nominated friable asbestos supervisor - SafeWork approved (desirable)
  • Minimum 2 year's experience of supervising
  • Construction White Card
  • Full Drivers licence and can drive manual
  • High level of commitment and understanding of workplace health and safety
  • Be willing to travel and stay overnight if required

Highly advantageous

  • First aid certificate
  • Other qualifications such as high risk work tickets.
