We are seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to join our team specialising in fireplaces, bathrooms, furniture, hardware, and lighting. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers in product selection, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about home improvement and design, contributing to a positive shopping experience and driving sales growth.
Responsibilities:
– Greet customers warmly and assist them in product selection.
– Provide detailed information about products and services to enhance customer understanding.
– Maintain a clean and organised store environment, ensuring displays are attractive and well-stocked.
– Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
– Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
– Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve store performance.
– Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to better assist customers.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent; further education in retail or business is a plus.
– Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
– Basic math skills for processing transactions.
– Passion for home improvement and design is highly desirable.
– Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
