Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
based in
Hobart (HBA).
In this role, you'll be an integral part of our Hobart-based team, performing line maintenance services on Qantas Group aircraft in compliance with the operator's AOC and regulatory framework. With safety as our top priority, you'll work closely with specialist teams to deliver high standards of engineering — ensuring quality, reliability, and exceptional service across every shift.
To Achieve Success In This Role, You Will
- Be an experienced Unrestricted B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a sound knowledge of the Civil Aviation Regulations
- Hold a CASA Part 66 licence with B1 Unrestricted Type Rating on the A320 family (mandatory). A220 and B737 licences are also desirable.
- Have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills supported with the ability to assess and interpret options and develop solutions for the line environment
- Have proven experience working in a line maintenance environment.
- Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others; Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Have a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders;
- Ability to work shift work (4 on 4 off), including night shifts.
