Safyre Consulting is a growing fire safety engineering consultancy based in Hobart, Tasmania. Our focus as a small business is on providing quality fire safety engineering solutions and designs that are clear and easy to interpret. With transparent and honest communication, our objective is to ensure our fire safety designs stand the test of time to ensure equitable safety for the community.
We are currently seeking a fire safety engineer with 3 to 5 years experience to join our team in Hobart . The successful candidate will work directly with the company's director on unique fire engineering and bushfire engineering projects across all parts of the state.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking fire safety and bushfire design for various types of building projects.
- Attending client meetings and site inspections around Tasmania.
- Review of architectural and building services designs for fire safety compliance.
- Provision of fire engineering advice and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- CFD modelling, zone modelling, evacuation modelling and bushfire modelling.
- Preparation of fire engineering briefs and reports.
- Mentoring of junior staff on technical and project related fire engineering challenges.
- Review fire engineering research and develop fire safety engineering software.
Minimum requirements:
- 3 to 5 years experience in fire safety engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or similar.
- Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles.
- Driver's license and own car.
- Applicants must be Australia based and have permanent residency.
