Role Description

We are currently seeking a
Process Water Commissioning Engineer
for a contract role based on-site in
New South Wales
. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in
water treatment systems
, commissioning, and electrical testing.

You will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring they meet operational and safety standards. The role involves close coordination with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commissioning activities for water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Perform electrical testing and inspections to ensure compliance with design and operational standards.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot process and control issues during start-up.
  • Conduct performance testing and verify system functionality.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth handover and project completion.
  • Prepare commissioning reports and support operator training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or related field).
  • Proven experience in commissioning of water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical testing, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in NSW.
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Desirable

  • Experience with SCADA, PLCs, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with Australian water industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Relevant certifications or training in commissioning electrical systems.
