About the role
The Data Collection Officer (VET) is responsible for ensuring accuracy of student VET entry and result data supplied to NESA for the purpose of credentialing. This role assists high schools across NSW with the collection, processing and validation of their student data relating to VET data including Course, RTO, qualification, competency outcomes and VET late updates.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:
- Providing advice, mainly via phone and email, that professionally and effectively supports NSW schools to complete their student VET data submission requirements
- Working cohesively with the Senior Records Coordinator (VET) and Data Quality Officer (VET) and staff of other teams and branches
- Assist the Senior Records Coordinator (VET) and Data Quality Officer (VET) in the delivery of communications to schools and students relating to student VET data submission requirements.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A strong ability to manage competing, and conflicting priorities, within agreed timeframes while maintaining the delivery of communications advice and materials to required quality standards.
- Knowledge of, and experience using, Microsoft Office programs
- Awareness of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in particular VET Experience working within a school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to take initiative to support project objectives.
Essential Requirements:
- Working with children check clearance for paid employment (prior to commencement, not required at the application stage).
