AUTOMOTIVE APPRENTICE TECHNICIAN – Expressions of Interest for 2026

You could possibly start as a Trades Assistant in late 2025 and move into an apprenticeship.

Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of engine and mechanical tests to diagnose, repair and service light vehicles, as well as conducting various day to day tasks.

This role offers you the chance to work in a clean and modern workshop with Genuine Parts where you will enjoy regular manufacturer and in-house training, as well as access to online data to ensure you are kept up to date at all times.

All apprentice training will be conducted on site, ensuring you receive the best possible training and career opportunities.

APPLICANTS MUST:

  • Have a positive attitude and desire a career as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic
  • Understand that the customer is priority
  • Demonstrate safe work practices
  • Be willing to follow direction and learn from our Workshop Foreman and factory Trainers
  • Be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Possess a basic understanding of mechanical concepts
  • Be neatly presented, reliable, and hardworking

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Current manual driver's licence
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic mechanical understanding
  • Preferred Grade 12 completion with English & Mathematics competencies, but not essential.

Any previous mechanical training or experience would be beneficial.
