This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Deli Supervisor/ Assistant Manager who prides themselves on being a professional who can supervise a dedicated team and lead by example.  This department provides an extensive range of salads, grab n go meals, customized catering platters, lunch and dinner options plus much more.

We are looking for a passionate foodie who embraces change and who can ensure the smooth  and successful operation of the Deli Department in our busy afternoon/evening periods.

This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week from 12pm to 8pm over 5 days, one of which will be a weekend shift.

Attractive wages will be discussed with successful candidates reflecting experience being offer.

Skills Required:

  • Exposure to leading staff and being in control, a hands on team player and mentor
  • Collaborate with your team to spark motivation and attain exceptional results together
  • Ability to think outside the box, be creative and innovative
  • Take the reins during our busy hours, setting the pace and leading by example
  • Must be able to produce high quality and quantity work
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards
  • Act as a point of contact for the team, resolving any issues and cultivating a positive and harmonizing working environment
  • Multi tasker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals

The Role:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers
  • Preparation of fresh ingredients and meals
  • Slicing and wrapping of smallgoods
  • Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance
  • Expertise in garnishing, packaging and creative displays
  • Filling, merchandising and stocking of prepared food
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service at a high standard with enthusiasm, energy and pace
