The Opportunity
We're on the lookout for a dynamic Consultant to join our Brisbaneoffice Leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills, you'll support our clients by offering sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice and insights. As an urban planning consultant, you will contribute to the delivery of high-impact land use planning and policy projects, primarily for public sector clients.
You will:
- Contribute to the preparation of statutory land use land use planning projects, including development applications, land use studies, compliance assessments, highest and best use analysis, due diligence, precinct plans, and supporting technical inputs.
- Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in the fields of economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare and review reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
About You:
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Ideally minimum 1 - 2 years' experience within an Urban Planning firm based environment.
- Sound knowledge of statutory planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment.
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of statutory policies, processes and influences.
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
