The role:
The People & Culture Analyst plays a key role in managing and optimising City Beach's People & Culture reporting suite. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role ensures data accuracy and integrity across all people metrics.
You will be responsible for developing and analysing reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions that enhance performance and continuous improvement across the P&C function.
Your day-to-day:
- Generate and analyse people reports and dashboards covering demographics, compliance, safety, ER/IR, talent, and turnover metrics to support data-driven decision making.
- Communicate key people insights and trends to the People & Culture and broader Leadership Teams.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for ongoing visibility of people data and metrics.
- Develop and implement new system processes to drive efficiency, reduce manual work, and improve user experience.
- Conduct team member engagement surveys and feedback forums, providing analysis and recommendations to improve engagement and retention.
- Reconcile and validate data across systems to maintain accuracy, compliance and reporting integrity.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders and operational teams.
- Identify workforce risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for optimisation through data analysis in conjunction with the Time & Attendance Coordinator.
- Support with documenting processes, conducting testing and performing system audits as required.
- Support broader People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives as directed.
What you'll need:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience working with HRIS or HR Management systems such as Workday, UKG or SAP in an analyst capacity.
- Strong data and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel, Power Query and Power BI are a must.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the business.
- Strong analytical mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process improvement.
- An understanding of key People & Culture functions and drivers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Australian Modern Awards and compliance frameworks is preferred (e.g. GRIA, Storage, Clerks).
