About the role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Rigid Driver to join our team at Rayner Transport Pty Ltd in Launceston, Tasmania. As a full-time employee, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operate heavy rigid vehicles in a safe and compliant manner
  2. Adhere to all relevant road rules, regulations and company policies
  3. Load and unload vehicles in a timely and professional manner
  4. Complete accurate vehicle inspections and maintenance logs
  5. Provide excellent customer service to clients
  6. Assist with other duties as required

What we're looking for

  1. Valid Heavy Rigid licence and a minimum of 2 years' experience driving heavy vehicles
  2. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices
  3. Excellent driving skills and attention to detail
  4. Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to safe work practices
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Good communication and customer service skills
