Moerk Water is looking for a Sales Lead to join our growing team and support business development of sustainable and off-grid water treatment systems across a wide range of Industrial, humanitarian and municipal projects.

Moerk Water designs and constructs sustainable and energy-efficient water treatment systems, delivering clean, safe, and reliable water to industries, communities, and businesses across Australia, the Asia-Pacific, and East Africa. We specialise in reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, desalination, and solar-powered solutions, tailoring our approach to each client's needs.

Role overview

We're hiring a hands-on Sales Lead to build pipeline, progress complex pursuits, and further mature our sales rhythm across Australia and the Pacific. This is a selling leadership role (~70% direct selling / ~30% leadership & process): you'll drive lead generation, orchestrate agents, own a personal quota, and run an accurate forecast.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and deliver a
    personal sales quota
    ; manage team pipeline and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive
    lead generation
    and conversion discipline.
  • Lead complex pursuits in industrial, community and healthcare.
  • Enable and manage Pacific agents.
  • Shape pricing within guardrails; negotiate commercial terms in concert with Operations.
  • Oversee high-quality proposals/tenders; maintain a
    Tender/Proposal Library
    and standard technical baselines.
  • Run the operating cadence.
  • Coach
    Business Development Executive(s)
    on prospecting, qualification, and proposals.
  • Keep CRM immaculate; enforce stage exit criteria and next-step discipline.

Candidate requirements

  • 5+ years' success in solution/technical sales (water/process/environmental/industrial).
  • Proven quota delivery in ~12-month enterprise cycles and comfort with tenders/contracts.
  • Stakeholder strength across industry, contractors, engineering companies, and government.
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems; able to frame raw water challenges into solution options.
  • Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, and proposal writing.
  • Rigor with CRM/forecasting; you manage by data.
