We're a rapidly growing national business providing plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling services across Australia — and we're looking for a State Manager to lead our next stage of growth in Perth.

The Role

As State Manager, you will take full ownership of the performance, growth, and culture of your state. You'll be ultimately responsible for the success of the state — as if it were your own business. This is a high-impact leadership role, where you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing your team to deliver exceptional service and sales results.
  • Driving $10M+ in annual sales and maximising profitability.
  • Ensuring operational excellence across plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling.
  • Building a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, and leadership.

You'll report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the national leadership team.

This role is for an elite leader who inspires teams, thrives under pressure, takes full ownership, and is hungry for extraordinary career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run and optimise the state's day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs and apprentices.
  • Set and achieve sales and profit targets, ensuring consistent growth.
  • Maintain high service quality and safety standards across all operations.
  • Hire and onboard new team members, conduct performance reviews, and manage pay and terminations.
  • Oversee operational spending, including stock, services, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with national leadership to drive expansion and long-term strategic growth.
What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll bring most of the qualities we're looking for — but if you don't tick every box, we still want to hear from you.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Specialised certification in Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC.
  • 3+ years' experience as an Operations or State Manager in a high-performance environment.
  • A proven track record in strategic leadership, operational excellence, and driving significant business growth.
  • Exceptional judgement, resourcefulness, and the ability to lead A-players while developing B/C players.
  • A passion for building elite teams and achieving exceptional results.
  • A proven ability to take full ownership of net profit outcomes and cash flow to ensure the business meets its financial obligations.
