About the Role:

This position is responsible for ensuring detailed drawings and designs for quality extrusion dies are available to meet production demands. This position will also collect data, troubleshoot and problem-solve die failures, design improvements and new die designs.

To be considered for this position you MUST:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification with minimum 5 years' experience
  • Ability to design both solid and hollow extrusion dies
  • Accurate inspection and correction of extrusion dies
  • Ability to analyse die failure and interpret reasons for failure
  • Preparation and inspection of finished work
  • Laterally approach problem solving; and to make logical and well-reasoned decisions
  • Accurately work with and interpret, numbers and technical detail
  • Understand the importance of quality to the business and demonstrate attention to detail.
