The Opportunity:

Reporting to the General Manager – Bulk, Visy is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for our South Australia operations with a solid background in Warehouse & Fleet Management. Based at our site in Gillman, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning all customer deliveries daily and manage the discharge of inbound bulk vessels. You will have experience working in a demanding and fast paced environment where you can manage client expectations and deliver excellent service. Please note you must have prior working experience operating front end loaders.

What you will do:

• Supervising the day-to-day operations of Visy Logistics at the Gillman site and, ensuring safe operations in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Overseeing discharges from port to warehouse and managing sub-contractors involved in the process.
• Ensure compliance with processes for efficient stock placement and site cleanliness.
• Managing and communicating with warehouse staff and truck drivers to ensure smooth operations.
• Assisting with staff rostering and training to support the dynamic workflow, including monitoring leave accruals and sick leave.
• Coordinating and planning all customer loading and deliveries on a daily basis.
• Supporting team in operating a front-end loader at times to manage stockpile and load hopper.
• Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with customers and Visy stakeholders.

What You Will Bring:

• 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role within the local transport and warehouse operations
• Demonstrated experience in a people management position
• A strong understanding of fatigue management and mass management
• Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S as well as experience in SAP, WMS & TMS systems
• Experience operating front end loader, managing materials arriving on bulk vessels
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience
• Ability to build strong relationships external and internally as this will be crucial to the success of this role
