Joining as Technical Product Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving strategy, execution, and adoption of BI capabilities across our enterprise data platform
The day to day
Support the execution of our data transformation roadmap by leading key BI initiatives and milestones.
Own and evolve the BI capability roadmap with a focus on Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and the responsible sunset of Tableau.
Lead and manage the enterprise migration from Tableau to Power BI — driving impact analysis, stakeholder communication, report rationalisation, and user enablement.
Design and implement a scalable, governed, and self-service BI architecture aligned with Optus' data strategy.
Integrate AI-driven capabilities (e.g., Power BI Copilot, natural language queries, automated insights) to deliver smarter, faster decision-making.
Partner with business and analytics teams to capture requirements, define use cases, and develop reusable data models and visualisations.
Champion change management, training, and adoption strategies to embed BI tools across diverse business units.
Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to ensure performance, security, and data quality across BI systems
Why you are our next Technical Product Manager
A proven track record delivering enterprise BI initiatives in complex environments.
Strong expertise in Power BI (Service, Desktop, DAX, Dataflows), with experience migrating large BI estates from Tableau to Power BI.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, including integration with Synapse, Data Factory, and Lakehouse.
Strong BI data modelling skills (star/snowflake schemas, semantic layers, performance tuning).
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive adoption, influence stakeholders, and manage change.
Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and role-based security principles.
Excellent communicator, able to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
