In this highly visible role, you will lead and inspire our banquet team to deliver bespoke service for a variety of events - from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. You will take pride in creating seamless experiences where every detail reflects The Tasman's hallmark sophistication and warmth.

The Opportunity: 
  • Lead and oversee banquet setups, ensuring cleanliness, accuracy, and presentation in line with event specifications and brand standards.
  • Execute special event arrangements seamlessly, delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Supervise and support the team during events, providing direction, coaching, and on-the-floor assistance.
  • Inspect table setups and service stations, resolving any issues to maintain quality and attention to detail.
  • Train and develop team members, sharing knowledge of service standards, procedures, and products.
  • Coordinate with Culinary and Event teams to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Uphold health, safety, and food handling standards while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

About You: 

  • Previous experience as a Banquet Team Leader in a luxury hotel or premium event setting - or a motivated professional ready to take the next step in their career
  • A refined and intuitive approach to service, with a strong understanding of event flow and guest engagement
  • Genuine interest in food and beverage, with wine and cocktail knowledge highly regarded
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team
  • Calm under pressure with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable personal presentation and communication skills
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Flexibility to work across varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
