Bowen Hills, Queensland, Australia St Vincent's Health Australia Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year
Job Description:

Better and fairer care.  Always.

For more than 175 years, St Vincent's Care Services has been a leading Catholic provider of Aged Care Services in Australia and the legacy of compassion, justice, integrity and excellence entrusted to us by the Sisters of Charity and their Founder Mary Aikenhead continues to inspire our work today.

What's on your resume is important, but what's in your heart matters more.

Because at St Vincent's, kindness works for us.

Ready to take the lead in healthcare funding? As the National Clinical Funding Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of St Vincent's Care. Your role will be to drive digital transformation and data integrity initiatives by ensuring the optimal use of health information systems and leading system upgrades within the clinical funding domain. You will leverage advanced analytical skills with tools like PowerBI and Mirus Metrics to interpret complex clinical and financial data, generating crucial insights to inform strategic decisions. You will also shape the strategic direction and national frameworks for AN-ACC reviews and financial optimisation across all homes.

A core responsibility is to champion national excellence by leading and supporting a national team of Aged Care Assessment Managers and Assessors, while serving as the Compliance Architect who oversees the integrity of all Medicare and AN-ACC funding processes and documentation to meet strict regulatory requirements. You will forge strategic partnerships, collaborating closely with clinical, operational, and finance teams and representing SVC in regulatory and external forums to ensure funding directly supports a resident-centred care approach.

This is a permanent full time position based in any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne on a hybrid working arrangement. Interstate travel will be required occasionally.

Things that work for us:

  • Demonstrated experience in senior clinical or funding management roles within aged care or healthcare settings
  • Extensive experience in navigating and optimising aged care funding models, particularly AN-ACC
  • Track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency in clinical or funding pathways
  • Strong knowledge of clinical assessment processes and their intersection with funding eligibility and optimisation
  • Expertise in aged care legislation, funding frameworks, and compliance and familiarity with aged care systems including Autumn Care and Medicare portals
  • High-level proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., MS Power BI, Mirus Metrics, Excel) and strong IT skills, including system integration, digital transformation, and data governance
  • Advanced analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across clinical, operational, and executive levels
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams across multiple locations, fostering collaboration and accountability
  • AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Key Personnel Checks will be a requirement of this role

Things that work for you:

  • Be part of a values-driven organisation committed to excellence in aged care
  • Lead national initiatives that directly impact resident outcomes and funding sustainability
  • Collaborate with passionate professionals across clinical, operational, and executive teams
  • Enjoy flexible work locations and a supportive leadership environment
  • Competitive salary packaging options
  • Discounted private health insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families
  • Access to the Fitness Passport (FP)

At St Vincent's we value inclusivity and diversity and acknowledge the importance of creating a work environment that is welcoming, safe, fair and impartial and invites people from all backgrounds to join us.
