About the role

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the Corporate Enterprise SAP Re-Platforming Program. This role will oversee the transition of key enterprise SAP solutions to modern, cloud-based S/4HANA platforms, supporting operational excellence across corporate applications, HR/payroll, finance, and logistics. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage program governance, and ensure the successful delivery of ICT-enabled change initiatives in line with business requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for a large-scale ICT-enabled change program, managing multiple project managers, stream leads, and teams.
  • Develop and implement the CESR Program business case and integrated implementation plan, managing interdependencies across projects.
  • Oversee program budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure value for money and realisation of benefits.
  • Implement and manage program governance and risk management in alignment with organisational PMO frameworks.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across Queensland Health, including internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Lead remedial and corrective actions for projects that deviate from planned parameters.
  • Foster a professional, customer-focused, and service-oriented culture within the program.
  • Provide expert advice on ICT trends in health service delivery and support capability building among staff.

Highly desirable criteria

  • Minimum five years' experience leading large-scale ICT-enabled change programs, preferably SAP projects, within complex organisational environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver programs aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Experience with SAP Rise or S/4HANA implementation, ideally within government or large-scale environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Expert knowledge of program governance, project management methodologies, and risk management practices.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, briefs, and presentations for senior governance bodies.
  • Ability to navigate complex federated business models and deliver sustained business benefits.

Desirable criteria

  • Qualification in ICT, Program or Project Management, or related field, with registration with a recognised professional body.
  • Experience in managing HR/payroll, finance, or logistics SAP modules.
  • Knowledge of contemporary human resource practices, workplace health and safety, ethical behaviour, and anti-discrimination policies.
  • Experience in mentoring and building capability within project delivery teams.
