We're Terem, a tech product development and strategy firm.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for Product Development to join our team for a short-term contract engagement (4-5 weeks).

This is a role that requires leadership and technical acumen. It will involve working with a 4 person team to build a greenfield product to improve operations. While the new products are greenfields there will involve significant integration with other systems. It'll be an exciting opportunity to help build something that will be used by hundreds of users.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU IS

7+ years in software engineering with a focus on backend systems5+ years working with React (Tanstack and MUI)4+ years working with Python FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy Core, pytest, mypy)Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL, JSONB, and performance tuningProven hands-on experience with Azure Cloud (Blob Storage, Functions, App Service, Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server)Confident working with Azure DevOps – building YAML pipelines and deployments using Bicep (IaC)Solid integration experience, including REST APIs (e.g. ERP systems like M3), file ingestion (Excel/CSV), and authentication (Basic Auth, API Keys, Azure AD JWT)Familiarity with event-driven architecture, schedule versioning, and optimistic locking conceptsBonus points if you've worked with pandas, Docker, or AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)Manufacturing or supply chain domain knowledge a plusSomething a bit unique you can bring to Terem to help us keep growing
