Role Overview

Newly created role in a finance function that has grown from 1 to 4 in the past 2 months. This is an exciting role reporting to a first class Management Team and being a key part of a newly created Finance function. The purpose of this role is to support with day to day operational finance responsibilities as well as providing a platform to develop your skills in reporting, compliance and business management reporting. The business is at a transformational stage so exposure to the development of processes, specifically those at transactional level will be highly regarded. In the short-medium term there will also be the opportunity to develop and further your skills in Business Partnering and providing the Finance Manager with a strong level of support. This is an organisation which is in significant growth mode, therefore, a passion for business improvement will be critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Finance Support -
    Processing of Accounts Payable Invoices and Reporting on Accounts Receivable transactions. Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Financial Control -
    Assist with preparation of BAS and GST settlements
  • Process Improvement and Automation -
    Support the Finance Manager by identifying potential improvements and automating operational finance tasks
  • Administration Support
  • General Finance administrative services
  • Business Performance
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

Candidate Profile

Being either a CPA or CA partly qualified you are currently likely sitting in either an existing Assistant Accountant role or an Accounts Assistant role looking to make a step up. You have a minimum of 2 years experience, ideally developed in industry and are seeking to develop the next stage of your career in a fast-paced organisation that will invest in your growth and fast track your progression. You are energetic and happy to take on new challenges and hold the values of service, passion and integrity alongside a forward- thinking outlook.
