Freelance Book Editor – Print

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Book Editor to work on a manuscript and prepare it for publication. This is a freelance role, ideal for an experienced editor who can ensure the manuscript is polished, engaging, and ready for print and eBook release.

Responsibilities:

• Structural and copy editing to improve clarity, flow, and readability
• Proofreading for grammar, spelling, and consistency
• Formatting the manuscript for both print and digital platforms
• Working collaboratively with the author to deliver a professional, publication-ready manuscript

Requirements:

• Proven experience editing books (please include portfolio or published titles)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent grammar and language skills
• Familiarity with formatting standards for print and eBook platforms (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, etc. is a plus)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
