About the Position

Our brand-new, state-of-the-art cafes within the Alfred Hospital Precinct are bustling and thriving

We're building a dynamic café team to support both our front of house team with serving our customers, making coffees and ordering supplies for the café.

We're currently hiring for the following positions:

• Café All Rounder (Casual) - paid under the Fast Food Industry Award as a Level 1 employee
• Team Leader (Full-Time) -paid under the Fast Food Industry Award as a Level 3 employee

Here's What Your Role Looks Like

Café All Rounder:

• Preparing and serving food and beverages to café standards.
• Greeting and interacting with customers in a warm and professional manner.
• Operating the POS system and handling transactions accurately.
• Restocking supplies and ensuring the front-of-house is always well-presented.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the café.
• Handling both cash and card payments efficiently.

Team Leader:

• Managing received goods at the café and placing orders with our suppliers.
• Verifying and submitting invoices accurately.
• Training FOH team members in store processes and procedures.
• Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with our hygiene standards.
• Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Cafe Manager regarding all aspects of cafe operations.
• Assisting with food and beverage preparation, including coffee service when required.

About You

To be considered for these roles, you must display the following:

• Café All Rounder: Minimum 1 year of cafe experience as an All Rounder or a Barista (must have prior coffee making skills)
• Team Leader: Prior experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor position, where you were responsible for ordering stock
• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (training can be provided).

• Organised and efficient with good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn & can-do attitude.
