About the Role

Join a newly established Audit Operations and Quality team dedicated to centralising governance, performance, and risk management across the function. This role offers the opportunity to shape foundational processes and drive operational excellence from the ground up.

As the Senior Manager for Capability and Change, you will lead the direction and execution of change management and capability uplift initiatives across the function. In this role, you will be responsible for embedding a culture of continuous improvement and learning, ensuring alignment with Internal Audit's strategy and professional standards.

Work Hours: Full time, 40 hrs/week

What will your day look like?

As the Senior Manager for Capability and Change, you will be accountable for:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of the strategy for Internal Audit.
  • Leading change management initiatives to implement the strategy effectively and to enhance audit processes and methodologies.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and innovation within the audit function.
  • Developing and maintaining the Internal Audit Capability Framework including ongoing assessment.
  • Supporting staff development and training initiatives. 
  • Leading the development and implementation of function-wide change and transformation strategies.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to the Manager for Change and Transformation.
  • Establishing frameworks and metrics to measure change effectiveness and capability maturity.
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders including the Group General Manager, Internal Audit and Internal Audit Leadership Team to align change initiatives with strategic priorities.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in leading complex change and transformation programs.
  • Understanding of change management methodologies and organisational development.
  • Background in internal/external audit or similar control functions, preferably within financial services or other regulated industries, with familiarity in enterprise capability frameworks and maturity models.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
