Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a motivated Clinical Nurse - Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate clinical trials across our renal service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing nephrology research and improving outcomes for patients with kidney disease.
This is a temporary part-time role, up to 12 months, working 48 hours per fortnight. There is a possibility of an additional 12 month extension.
About your opportunity
Working within a dynamic and collaborative research environment, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of renal clinical trials, from study initiation through to completion, in accordance with the National Health Medical and Research Council (NHMRC), Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCP) and the International Committee of Harmonisation (ICH). You will work closely with nephrologists, research teams, patients, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality clinical research that contributes to evidence-based practice and innovation in renal care.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Preferred but not essential:
- Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in clinical care or research
- Research or clinical trial coordination experience.
- Current clinical experience in renal/nephrology
- GCP – Good Clinical Practice certification, or willingness to acquire within 1 month of commencing
- The applicant ideally will have a working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, including the Microsoft Windows, Excel, REDCap and Power Point.
