Growth Farms Australia is a privately owned asset management business which acquires and manages prime Australian agricultural assets on behalf of private and institutional investors.

Manor Estates Holding engages Growth Farms to manage its Kangaroo Island and Fleurieu Peninsula farming enterprises and is accountable for the effective implementation of the Farm Plan and daily operations.

The Role

An opportunity is available for an experienced Stockperson with a focus on a large-scale sheep enterprise (with some trade cattle) over three farms on Kangaroo Island, SA.

Reporting to the Farm Manager, the position will ideally suit a self-motivated individual looking to become part of a dynamic team but must be able to work on their own with high level stock skills and a team of working dogs.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Experience in monitoring livestock, including animal health, ensuring adequacy of feed & water, and implementing stock movements.

· Experience in safe farm maintenance, mechanical applications, and operation of farm machinery/equipment.

· Sound understanding of farm safety.

· Ability to work autonomously to complete planned tasks efficiently and to a high standard.

· Strong knowledge of animal welfare standards and documentation.

Key Requirements:

· Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.

· Ability to work autonomously and implement a plan with attention to detail.

· Working stock dogs essential and livestock skills to manage large mobs unassisted.

· Solid work ethic and attention to detail.

· Show initiative, responsibility and have a positive attitude to work.

· Be physically fit and able to fulfill all requirements of the role.

· Hold current drivers' license and truck license would be an advantage.
