Your new role

As EL1 Assistant Director – Data and Reporting, you will lead a small team of analysts to deliver high-quality data insights, reporting, and modelling that inform pricing policy and market performance. You'll work across the agency to translate complex data into actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and deploying scalable data, statistical and mathematical models.
  • Developing and executing data collection and presentation strategies.
  • Delivering regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support pricing policy.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Participating in data forums and contributing to ongoing data transformation initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience handling large datasets.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, Excel, SAS/SQL.
  • Ability to communicate complex data to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in statistical modelling, forecasting, and machine learning techniques.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related fields.
