As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Learning, Development & Systems Coordinator to play a pivotal role in shaping our people development strategy and ensuring alignment between workforce capability and business goals.
About the RoleReporting to the General Manager – WHS, Risk & ESG, this role is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating AWCON's learning, development, and systems frameworks.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to design, deliver and embed training programs, professional development pathways, and systems that lift organisational capability and strengthen our culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and rolling out AWCON's learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Establishing competency frameworks, traineeships, and assessment processes across operational groups.
- Designing and implementing management and leadership development programs.
- Driving cultural change initiatives, including "Keeping It Real for Safety @ AWCON".
- Coordinating and maintaining learning management systems and training databases.
- Developing and curating engaging training content, guides, and assessment tools.
- Conducting training needs analysis (TNA) and gap analysis across the organisation.
- Supporting tender and project startups through effective training strategies.
You are an experienced Learning & Development professional who thrives in dynamic, growth-driven environments. You are solutions-focused, highly organised, and passionate about building capability across all levels of an organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Learning & Development, Training & Assessment.
- Extensive experience in L&D within medium to large businesses.
- Strong knowledge of AQF, AQTF, VET, and competency-based training frameworks.
- Proven experience in auditing, training needs analysis and gap analysis.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and technical writing skills.
- Ability to influence, engage and drive cultural and behavioural change.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards.
- Current driver's licence and White Card
