CELOTTI WORKFORCE has multiple exciting opportunities for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our client's teams across Darwin and the NT.

We are seeking trade-qualified fitters with strong backgrounds in heavy machinery, plant maintenance, marine/industrial equipment, and light vehicles. These roles offer a mix of casual ongoing and permanent opportunities, with immediate starts available.

Job Details Roles Available:

Farm Site – Middle Point, NT (Casual Ongoing)

  • Location: Anzac Parade, Middle Point NT 0836 (Approx. 1-hour drive from Darwin)
  • Start Time: 6:30 AM (up to 10 hours per day)
  • Roster: Monday to Friday (4-day working week option)
  • Pay Rate: $60 per hour – flat rate
  • Focus: Farm machinery, gensets, pumps, fixed plant maintenance

Marine Industry – Darwin, NT (Full-time Permanent)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (38-hour week)
  • Additional: Frequent weekday overtime + Saturday half-days
  • Focus: Drivetrain overhauls, bearings & seals, fitting & machining, marine & industrial projects, potential supervisory tasks
  • Note: Sponsorship is not available. Applicants must have full Australian working rights.

Darwin – Short Term (6 weeks)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: $50 per hour – flat rate
  • Focus: Light vehicles (utes), loaders, forklifts, and gensets – servicing, repairs, and maintenance
  • Immediate start, local candidates only

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Trade qualified Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or Mechanical Fitter
  • Minimum 5+ years post-trade experience
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and auto electrical fault finding
  • Skilled in fixed plant, gensets, pumps, farm machinery, and mechanical repairs
  • Marine/industrial fitting and machining highly regarded
  • Competent with automotive air conditioning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • HR Licence or current Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Forklift Licence (preferred)

Highly Regarded Equipment Experience:

  • Toyota Light Vehicles – Petrol and Diesel
  • Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Acco
  • Kubota and Case Tractors
  • Forklift repairs and maintenance
  • Sykes Diesel Pumps
