Exciting role to support new business initiatives, responsible for preparing the regulatory proposal and managing the regulatory determination process for major projects.
Key responsibilities:
Develop clear and compelling regulatory proposals that are aligned to the strategy, vision and purpose.
Fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality submissions and reports.
Contribute to the development and regular update of the regulatory strategic plan and ensure the plan is embedded within regulatory submissions.
Identify, model and advise on opportunities to respond to regulatory incentives through regulatory determinations and recommend appropriate strategy and actions to leverage these opportunities.
Develop recommendations regarding proposed changes to regulation and legislation that impact the business' regulatory determinations.
Develop submissions and advice as required, in conjunction with other business units, on a range of technical and non-technical matters regarding proposed changes to energy regulation, legislation and policy frameworks from regulators, rule makers and government agencies to ensure the company is not adversely affected by regulatory change.
Promote business change to align project financial information and embed a business-as-usual approach to maintaining regulatory documentation.
Harness stakeholder communication and relationships with energy industry economic regulators.
Key experience to be considered:
Professional experience in a similar role within the Energy sector.
Demonstrated expertise building revenue proposals and submissions.
Excellent knowledge of the legislative, regulatory, compliance and policy framework applied to the energy sector.
Experience communicating complex regulatory topics through presentations.
Deep experience in economic modelling and analysis.
Bachelor Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
