About the Role
The Care Hub Support Partner reports into the Care Hub Regional Manager within our Business Conduct Office (BCO). Providing contact and support, the Support Partner will facilitate appropriate and safe referral pathways using a strengths-based approach and practice. The Support Partner will have a background and experience of trauma informed approaches to facilitate and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a person-centred and professional approach to conducting safety and risk assessments and identifying needs of those impacted by harmful and disrespectful behaviour
- Take all reasonable actions to meet these needs within the boundaries of workplace procedures
- Develop and implement case management plans to support impacted people
- Respond to confidential calls/engagement from people impacted by harmful and disrespectful behaviour who want to make a disclosure or anyone who has a related query
- Explain Rio Tinto processes and options for wellbeing support, practical support, and resolution options (including formal investigations)
- Manage the coordination and facilitation of resolution options with all key stakeholders (including resolutions such as mediation, training, behaviour coaching etc.)
- Monitor resolution implementation and maintain contact with those impacted and key stakeholders throughout the process
- Manage case closure and reintegration plans
- Coach leaders on how to support those impacted through a Trauma Informed Care approach
- Support people to access the Family and Domestic Violence policy and supporting services
- Actively contribute to ensuring Care Hub provides a safe and inclusive experience for all people
- Work effectively in both a standalone role and as part of a global team
- Be competent in the use of electronic case management systems
- Resolve complex problems and take a new perspective using existing solutions
- Formally mentor/train lower-level staff, and support onboarding and mentorship of peers
- Lead Care Hub continuous improvement projects or process improvement projects
- Act as an ambassador for the myVoice program and BCO, including presenting at roadshows, townhalls, product group and asset leadership teams and supporting awareness campaigns and training relating to the myVoice and Care Hub program
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in social work or other tertiary level qualifications in health, behavioural/social sciences, community services or a related discipline that provides a sound understanding and knowledge of assessing and working with people who have experienced trauma
- Experience in case management within healthcare, counselling, social work, psychology, human resources or other related industries
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and supporting diverse people who have experienced trauma
- Demonstrated authentic, compassionate, empathetic responses in front line service delivery
- Demonstrated experience responding to/managing disclosures through a trauma informed lens
- Experience in triage, risk assessment and safety planning, preferable in area of harmful behaviours
- An understanding of addressing racism, discrimination, bullying and harassment, sexual harassment and sexual assault and other complex cases
- Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and commitment to working with Indigenous people
