About the Role

Downtown Toyota has an opportunity available for an experienced and enthusiastic Pre-Delivery Truck Operator to join and assist our pre-delivery department in Lytton.

As the successful candidate you will be required to:

  • Load/ unload vehicles onto truck/ trailer & securing onto the truck / trailer
  • Carry out quality inspection before loading any vehicle
  • Transport vehicles in between Downtown Toyota sites and sublet workshops
  • Transport vehicles to end buyers
  • Follow daily schedule to ensure everything runs on schedule
  • Assist in other areas of Pre-Delivery in between runs when required
  • Monitoring truck and trailer to ensure it is in safe working order
  • Demonstrate behaviours that align with company policies, organisational values and The Toyota Way
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit

To be considered for this role you should:

  • Current and valid MR truck driver's license
  • Experience in vehicle carrier driving and truck driving
  • Quality focused, conscientious and take a great deal of pride in their work
  • High degree of team work
  • Ability to identify problems as they arise and offer effective solutions
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also a team player
