About the opportunity Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our Heavy Rigid Truck Driver - Bulk Pick Up & Delivery, you'll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You'll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn't get better than that

  • Permanent Part Time - 32 hours per week
  • 10:00am - 11:00am Starts Monday to Friday, the weekends are yours
  • $33.47 per hour, plus 12% super
  • Palettized Freight - Forklift On and Off Truck by Freight Handlers, plus some hand held deliveries

Multiple Positions Available

You'll be

  • Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
  • Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups
  • Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups
About you

You're a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You're passionate about making a difference in the community.

You'll also need to

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Hold a relevant heavy rigid vehicle license
  • Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck.
  • Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
  • You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less
  • Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
