We're especially looking for resilient, fun support workers with, clear communication skills (strong English proficiency), and the ability to maintain firm boundaries in dynamic and challenging environments.

Shifts Available: Monday-Sunday (24/7) 6am–2pm | 2pm–10pm | 10pm–6am Active Nights & Sleepovers

About the Role

As a Mental Health Disability Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in empowering our participants through meaningful daily support, through a 2:1 structure including:

• Supporting independent living skills
• Managing behaviours of concern using trauma-informed and person-centred approaches
• Following and contributing to behaviour support plans
• Administering or assisting with medication as per care plans
• Collaborating with families, allied health professionals, and stakeholders
• Promoting social inclusion and advocating for participant rights
• Provide personal care

Client Profile

You will be supporting individuals living with a range of mental health and cognitive disabilities, often requiring intensive support. Presenting needs may include:

Diagnoses:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
• Other psychosocial disabilities

Behaviours of Concern:

• Self-harm and suicidal ideation
• Aggression (verbal and physical)
• Absconding (leaving the home unsupervised)
• Emotional dysregulation

Support involves working under Restrictive Practices, Wound Care Management and following Positive Behaviour Support Plans, with Medication Administration and monitoring as part of your duties.

About You

You are a motivated, compassionate, and experienced support worker.

Experience & Skills

• Has at least 1 year of experience supporting people with complex behaviours or psychosocial disabilities (preferred)
• Holds a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or Community Services (preferred)
• Understands and applies trauma-informed, person-centred, and recovery-oriented care
• Has experience with restrictive practices and complex behaviours.
• Demonstrates strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Disability, or relevant equivalent qualification (preferred)
• NSW Driver's Licence + reliable vehicle
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check
• Recent (within 12 months) National Police Check
• 100 Points of ID
• Comprehensive car insurance and vehicle registration in your name
