Bentley Park College is seeking a Family Support Coordinator to help children and families transition into school, establish positive attendance patterns, and access vital support services.
This temporary full-time position is available until December 2026, unless otherwise determined, and offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to student success.

About the Role:
As the Family Support Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and families to transition successfully into school. You will work closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to address barriers to learning, improve attendance, and foster a sense of belonging within the school community. This is a temporary full-time position until December 2026, unless otherwise determined.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with teachers and support staff to understand student needs and connect families with relevant services.
- Supporting vulnerable children and families, including those from diverse and complex backgrounds.
- Building family capacity to support their child's learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Facilitating connections between families and external government and non-government support services.
- Using data to evaluate the effectiveness of support measures and improve student outcomes.

About You:
The following traits would be beneficial:
- Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations communities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with families, staff, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of local service providers and community supports.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and measure outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements:
The following are mandatory requirements for this role:
- A current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- A current driver's licence.
- Willingness to work some after-hours as required.
- Willingness to travel as required.
