About the Company

PJL Group is a specialised Underground Hard Rock Maintenance and Asset Supply Company that is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Storesperson/Procurement for site work in Kanmantoo, South Australia.

The Kanmantoo operation is located approximately 1 hours' drive southeast of Adelaide CBD, in the highly desirable Adelaide Hills region. Surrounding towns include those of Mt Barker, Murray Bridge, Hahndorf and Strathalbyn. 

PJL will be responsible for the supply and maintenance of the underground mining fleet on a 24/7 basis from dedicated workshop facilities onsite for its client Hillgrove Resources (HGO). The fleet will primarily be a combination of Sandvik, Caterpillar and Volvo underground equipment. 

About the Role

Seeking a Procurement Officer that is detail orientated and able to work in a fast-pace environment. Some accountabilities include:

  • Interpret job planning information and identify procurement requirements
  • Raise purchase orders and receipt goods in / goods out
  • Source and procure goods, materials, and services in line with project requirements, pipeline needs, and min/max inventory levels
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing updates, and documentation within the ERP system, resolving any discrepancies
  • Coordinate domestic freight bookings and documentation, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Liaise closely with site workshop team to forecast material and parts requirements, ensuring timely procurement and delivery
  • Conduct supplier and product research to identify opportunities for improved value, quality, and compliance
  • Contribute to stocktake and cycle count activities, providing analysis, resolution, and reporting
  • Work closely with organisation wide operation teams to coordinate the movement of required parts inter-state

About You

  • Previous experience in a Procurement role, preferably within the mining or manufacturing sector
  • Must be computer literate and able to use Company ERP system
  • High attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Ability to undertake operational and administrative duties
  • Mechanical, Mining and/or parts interpretation an advantage
