Job Description

  • Lead financial reporting and compliance in line with ASX and accounting standards
  • Manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end processes, delivering Tier 1 financial statements
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making
  • Oversee financial operations including payroll, management reporting, and transactional accounting
  • Manage external audits and ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness
  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and risk management frameworks
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Contribute to financial strategy and long-term value creation

The Successful Applicant

  • CA qualification and a degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • 5+ years' experience leading end-to-end finance functions in a small to mid-sized business
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial systems experience (Xero, Accurri, Fathom, Phocas)
  • ASX-listed reporting experience highly desirable, ideally in biotech, healthcare, or life sciences
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
