Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
Support people on bail to access the help they need and make positive changes.
We're looking for a compassionate and skilled CISP Case Manager to work with individuals on bail who are facing complex challenges. This role is part of the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP), which provides support to help reduce reoffending and improve outcomes for clients and the community.
You'll provide case management to people on bail or summons, helping them access services and supports that address the underlying issues contributing to their offending. You'll work closely with clients, courts, and community services to create individual support plans and monitor progress.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide case management to clients on bail with complex needs
• Conduct needs and risk assessments and develop tailored support plans
• Coordinate referrals to services such as housing, mental health, alcohol and drug treatment, and family violence support
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records
• Deliver culturally responsive and inclusive support
• Prepare and present written reports to the court and provide advice as needed
• Offer brief interventions to court users in need of immediate support
• Identify risks and develop harm minimisation strategies
• Build strong relationships with court staff, legal professionals, and community service providers
• Stay up to date with treatment options and best practices
• Reflect on your work and engage in ongoing professional development
About you
• Experience in assessing and managing clients with complex needs
• Knowledge of treatment and support services across key areas (e.g. housing, mental health, AOD, family violence)
• Ability to work respectfully and inclusively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
• A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, welfare, alcohol and other drugs, disability, or a related field (highly desirable)
