The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and capable Team Support Lead to join our team in Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to drive operational excellence, lead a high-performing team, and contribute to the ongoing success of our Hygiene Business Unit.

The Team Support Lead plays a pivotal role in providing tactical and operational leadership, ensuring productivity, utilisation, and service delivery meet divisional plans and budgets. You will lead a team of technical specialists and field professionals delivering services across occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, environmental management, health and safety, and training disciplines.

This role offers a dynamic blend of office-based leadership and field-based project work. Field assignments may occasionally involve travel, as well as weekend or public holiday work, depending on project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

People Leadership & Capability Development


• Develop and implement personal and professional development plans to enhance and improve the capability of team members


• Implement initiatives to increase team engagement, safety and wellbeing and build a strong value aligned culture


• Administer leave, roster and time keeping for team members


• Implement recruitment, onboarding and induction plans and activities for new team members to ensure effective resourcing


• Lead, coach and mentor divisional team members, and where appropriate, mentor team members from other divisions and functional teams

Operational & Tactical Delivery


• Implement and monitor actions to comply with health, safety, quality, environment and employment standards and requirements


• Implement business and service delivery process improvements


• Monitor and manage scheduling and utilisation of team to deliver service to clients, in collaboration with the Operations Coordinator


• Support the generation of quotes and invoices activities and pipeline to analyse and report on team performance


• Complete and oversee project work for clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes and the application of technical expertise in conjunction with the leadership and management responsibilities

Technical Leadership


• Provide subject matter expertise in your area of technical specialisation (e.g., hygiene, hazmat, environment)


• Lead complex programs and offer expert advice to clients


• Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop bespoke scopes of work to address client challenges

You will ideally bring

Essential:


• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field (Diploma or higher)


• Proven experience managing projects and leading small teams


• Experience liaising with and supporting large or complex clients

Desirable:


• Diploma or higher qualification in frontline or safety leadership and/or project management


• Membership in relevant professional associations (AIOH, ACHA, etc.)
