About Us:

We are a new Indian restaurant opening soon in South East Melbourne. Our mission is to bring authentic Indian flavours and a warm dining experience to the local community. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Indian Chef to join our team and play a key role in delivering delicious, high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, breads, and vegetarian & non-vegetarian specialties.
  • Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, safety, and food storage.
  • Assist in menu planning, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food wastage.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Indian Chef, with strong knowledge of North Indian cuisine.
  • Ability to work with spices, marinades, and traditional cooking methods (tandoor, curry preparation, breads).
  • Strong time management skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Passion for food, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
