ServiceNow Developer

Location: Brisbane CBD | Hybrid

Pay Rate: $134.55 / hour + Super

Duration: 12 Months

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join a large Government Department, supporting a wide range of ICT Service Management initiatives. This role is hands-on, requiring strong ServiceNow development skills combined with the ability to lead technical delivery and drive continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of technical solutions across ServiceNow and ICT projects.
  • Develop, script, and enhance ServiceNow modules, features, and workflows.
  • Implement process improvements, automation, and integrations with internal and external teams.
  • Prepare technical plans, roadmaps, and release schedules for product delivery.
  • Oversee architecture, coding, and delivery of APIs and frameworks with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
  • Support governance processes, including environment provisioning and Go Live activities.
  • Stay across emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and industry best practices.

Mandatory Requirements

  • ServiceNow Admin Certification (or higher).
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (or higher).
  • 3+ years' hands-on ServiceNow development experience (ITSM, ITSM Pro, ITOM, CSM, Digital Product Release).

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Extensive ServiceNow development (coding, administration, architecture, enhancements, integrations, and data management).
  • Scripting and automation (Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Workflow Design).
  • Experience working within Public Sector or large government environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following:

ASP.NET, .Net Core, C#, SQL Server

Angular, React, JavaScript, Glide, HTML, CSS, PowerShell

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies:

Azure services (PaaS, IaaS, Express Route, AAD)

       O365 suite (Dynamics 365, Teams, Power Platform)

       On-premises (Active Directory, SCCM, SCOM)

  • Strong documentation skills (solution architecture, high/low-level designs, operations/as-built guides).
