THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the Eastern Suburbs and Bayside of Victoria on a full-time, on-going basis. As a Junior Construction Site Supervisor, your primary focus is to support our construction team managing a portfolio of custom/luxury home builds and multi unit developments from site start through to the final inspection and maintenance stage. Training will be provided in this role as a Junior Site Supervisor to help develop your skills and knowledge, transitioning you into a Senior Site manager.  Reporting to an experienced and supportive Construction Manager some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Coordinate and manage trades, establish a reliable trade base.
  • Maintain and update construction program/schedule.
  • Build strong and ongoing working relationships with clients and trades.
  • Ensure correct building practices and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure quality homes are built within set time frames and budgeted guidelines.
  • Enforce and adhere to OH&S regulations.
  • Day to day management of trades on site and suppliers.

WHO YOU ARE

Ideally, we're looking for someone who has:

  • Recent building experience, background and history in the Melbourne residential construction industry.
  • Experience supervising residential home builds, residential construction experience and/or a strong trade background (but more importantly, an eagerness to learn and be a part of a cohesive team).
  • Experience with Luxury and Multi-Million dollar builds. (Preferred but not mandatory)
  • A general understanding of Australian building regulations.
  • Have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card.
  • Hold a valid driver's licence.
  • Solid project management skills and ability to communicate with trade/suppliers.
  • Strong time management skills.
