About the role
This is an incredible opportunity for a new team member to join our Electronic Trading and Execution (eTX) team in Sydney. This is a diverse role that requires someone who is energetic, meticulous, and passionate about the markets, trading system engineering and providing an excellent client experience.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Dealing
Services
– Monitoring all aspects of client trading activities: risk management, high-touch dealing, futures & FX rolls/swaps and API flow. - System Engineering –
eTX is responsible for administering and maintaining all aspects of 26 Degrees' global trading systems.
Our systems are highly available with multiple layers of redundancy at each point of failure, so the role requires someone adept at system management. - Liquidity
Architecture
– Analysis and curation of bespoke FX, Futures & Equities liquidity pools across our global network of price takers. Our Firm boasts 4 Tier 1 PB relationships with 15 Tier 1 Bank, Non-Bank and ECN Liquidity Providers. - Client Relations
– Supporting current Institutional & Hedge Fund client relationships working closely with the Prime Services and Hedge Fund Sales teams. - Project Development
– Working closely with the team to enhance systems and improve the processes of the business.
About you
- 3+ years of financial services experience (within a brokerage or technology provider).
- Passionate about system administration/engineering (oneZero or Prime XM experience is advantageous).
- Institutional experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel (SQL or Python experience is advantageous).
- Outstanding communication in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional critical thinking – quick & effective trouble-shooters are what we need
