About the role

We are seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team at Dr Lerm's surgery in Woolgoolga, NSW. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our medical practice, ensuring the smooth running of our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including follow-up appointments
• Handling patient enquiries and providing information about our services
• Maintaining accurate patient records and medical files
• Assisting with billing and invoicing procedures
• Providing general administrative support, such as answering phones and managing correspondence
• Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
• Proficiency in using medical practice management software and other office software applications
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and patient confidentiality
• A positive, friendly, and professional attitude, with a genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care
